Reading to rats.

I think is important to read to your pets, even if they don't exactly understand what the story is about, it is still something that I feel I should do, I am a huge bookworm myself, and I feel that my rats should have good literature read to them. So today I read them a little bit of Harry Potter, and some Charlotte's Web. I think they enjoyed it, while I was reading Charlotte's Web, they sat at the front of the cage and stuck their little noses out. It made me happy:)

Poppy:)

Hi,

Poppy seems to have come out of her shyness and is exploring everything just like her sister:) I have also discovered that she is a very good jumper...today I was cleaning the cage so I put them in their travel cage and before I could close the lid, Poppy leaps up:) I caught her and put her back inside...but I will half to be more careful...in case she decides to take it up as a hobby :D

Anyway, I will post more later:)

Fun with treats:)

Today I gave Poppy and Fern frozen peas as a treat...they loved them...I thought maybe I should post pictures:)

Hi,

Welcome, this blog is about my new baby rats, Poppy and Fern. They are two sweet little girls with lovely personalities. How about I introduce them to you? OK then...Poppy first:

Poppy is a sweet little black rat who is very shy and loves to climb, she likes crawling into my hands and playing with her sister Fern:)

Fern is a VERY hyper little grey rat who likes to explore and play with Poppy. She never has time to stop moving and is endlessly curious...she also seems to like licking my hand...I don't know if that is normal rat behavior, but its funny and cute:)

And...that was a quick summary of Fern and Poppy...they are so adorable...and not to mention smart and fast. I have only had them for a little while...but they already seem to trust me...every time I pass the cage, they run up to the front of it and sniff the air, hoping I will give them treats probably:) They both really like pumpkin seeds, I will give them each a pumpkin seed and they take it from me and skitter to the corner of the cage to eat their little "prize". That is all I have to say today....but I will post a picture of them below.
